Nice one. They had me going in for four cleanings a year. Now I'm down to three. And dental plans.... I pay 80 bucks a month and for that they don't cover half the stuff I needed done. Dentists... They're kind of the opposite of Mother Theresa.
My oldest son used to go 4 times a year for cleanings too. My sons don't have dental insurance. Our dentist told us that we are better off taking that 80 a month and putting it in an account for dental work for them rather than paying for insurance. Of course they are young and healthy and dont need alot of dental work right now.
I have always found it funny that when you buy medical insurance somehow that doesn't include your teeth or eyes as if they are not part of your body.
I don't use Medicare. I get my health care at the VA. They're great on the real serious things. But cheap on the preventative stuff. They'll give you a heart transplant before they'll give you a dental bridge.

Amen. And when you get old and are on Medicare, same thing. They evidently believe that old people should just shut up and eat their gruel.
Medicare advantage you get teeth and eyes. We are doing that now

My sister says about teeth: the first two sets are free; the third you have to pay for.
