Pardon a man jumping in here. My knowledge comes from someone very close to me who had a similar situation.
Your list of ailments makes me wonder if there are some more fundamental wellness issues. Our household has had to become amateur doctors over the last few years. We see a functional medicine MD: https://www.ifm.org/
Thank you for the well wishes. I do have several underlying autoimmune diseases so I think it made the recovery alot longer. I am in good hands. Not to worry😊
Don't forget to take vitamin K2 together with your vitamin D3.
Mrs. Surak and I binge watch Dr. Berg, one of the most popular doctors today. She has her own autoimmune and inflammatory diseases and endorses Dr. Berg's approach.
Good to hear you're well into recovery. Rehab is usually an onerous process and is often shirked. When I was in nursing school, oophorecectomy was one of my favorite words - rolls off the tongue so nicely. Unlike your recovery.
All these major operations women endure, with their long names ending in my. I was thinking as an answer to your question why nobody speaks about hysterectomy is simply that there are too many syllables. Or that there is nothing catchy to the name. Then you said that in the end you had a "oophorectomy." You say the name and it includes your opinion of it. Ooph. Cut those syllables! "I had a double oh-my up top," or, "I'm still recovering from my oophmy." Hope this brings you some cheer--or at least a smile. Wishing you a full recovery!
I am so pleased you are on the upswing of your recovery. My mother had a hysterectomy back in the 1980’s, and her recovery was brutal. She had terrible fibroids and debilitating periods. She is now in her 80’s, healthy and active.
Sending you the best of the best well wishes. I also think you are a pretty fabulous and lovely woman!
I had a partial when I was 17. fibroids. It was so long ago I think they used an obsidian knife. I've never considered myself anything other than a female, reproductive or not.
I remember when one of my clients had a hysterectomy and told me that her husband said that he would still consider her a "woman". I was appalled. I still am.
Refuah Shleima! And are you a woman!! A strong woman, a strong mother, a role model. “Strong” and “woman” are not contradictions, as we see from your life.
My mom had a hysterectomy and lost so much blood during surgery she almost needed a transfusion. Recovery was slow and awful. It also didn’t solve her underlying problems. I think the doctor just recommended hysterectomy for any issue a woman past child bearing suffered from. I’m glad you’re recovering and I understand how slow it can be. Excellent post
I am sorry your mom still has issues. I hope it she gets the help she deserves. And yes, for many doctors the answer to all women’s issues has to do with women body parts. (Dumbasses) I am glad you liked my post.

Thank you for your well wishes. That is a terrific word!
A wife, alter experience, yet so common and sometimes so necessary.
All the best to you.
Sorry, that should’ve been life altering experience
Thank you for your good wishes.

Mine was done laparoscopically. Little incisions on the outside, all big incisions inside. Wow.. that man was a moron. Just wow!
