Actually the entire Cybil Shepherd episode was about how she wasn't a crone....it was actually the first full throttle attack on the misogyny surrounding that word. I tried to find somewhere to link to the episode but I couldn't find it. Tubi does carry old comedies so you might be able to watch it there if you are interested.
Funny about Deborah. You don't see any portrayal of her as a "crone." But as a young dynamic woman, ala Joan of Arc. Which I find really interesting since I can't see the ancients of the Torah following a young woman into battle, but an elderly wise woman that makes sense.
Some have suggested that Deborah had a similar role to that of a crone today, the wise woman.
