Just reading about your fears of trees falling made me jump out of my seat too quickly. I twisted my ankle. Think I have a case?

So far I do not believe there is a tort of psychic or psychological harm unless the person has a direct IRL relationship with you. If that changes you may have a case, except here in the US we also have a Constitutional right not to be charged ex post facto. So, I’m afraid for this one I think you are out of luck. I also think you might have a post hoc ergo prompter hoc problem with your ankle. Hope it feels better though 😜😂

The old need the young to take care of them- to physically care for them, or to pay other young people to care for them. Even when older people set aside money their whole lives for retirement, they still need young people to take care of them. The technology changes so quickly that even staying up to date on how to do banking, how to order a taxi/uber etc. requires help.

People not in great health can’t drive and need someone to drive them. From the most basic of making sure older people don’t die on the street in poverty to older people in ok shape get to eat food they actually like and get to regularly see other humans, it all requires younger people.

Yes the old always need the young. But that doesn’t mean the young actually do anything for their elders. And unfortunately some elders never have young to take care of them.

Society has called the taking care of parents while raising children the sandwich generation. What is interesting is that I, a boomer, was a sandwicher before it had a name attached. We just did what we had to do and we did our best.

I think the idea that the young take care of the old is a lost obligation. Today we have assisted living facilities and old age homes. We have families spread out across the country. We also hide our elderly away. American culture is not kind to the aged.

American culture is not kind to the aged. But even warehouse style nursing homes need to be staffed by young people.

For the apricot trees, the owner of the field was an old man who passed away a few years ago. Fruit trees need to be taken care of and when they no longer get proper care (water) they'll end up dying. It's sad because the elder generation is passing away, many of them far in their nineties. The following generations are getting of age and their offspring don't have the same ties with the land as the elders had. It's a sad progress.

Thank you 🙏🏽. As a dog groomer I experienced how tummy problems are highly affecting dog behaviors. About 15 years ago I groomed a lovely female bichon who normally enjoyed coming for her grooming sessions. That day she was extremely cranky. A visit to the vet taught us she was very much bothered by gas in her stomach. After nearly 20 years of grooming I've learned so much from the dogs, I couldn't bear living without them.

I'm glad you're doggy is getting well 🙏🏽❣️

For Socrates : history is repeating itself because human behavior does not change 😓

I always get a kick out of this statement by Socrates. You're right nothing changes. The older generation has always complained about the younger ones, and the younger generation were always pushing boundaries. I just think this new younger generation, took it just waaaaay toooooo far.

Being a good responsible human being and thus a good neighbor are indispensable for mankind.

Cause & consequences nowadays seem to be limited to protecting ones own interests. Today's societies are showing moral and intellectual decline.

I hope your dog is getting better and that they'll find the cause of her ailments. They are sensitive to everything we go through.

For the dead trees, it's sad but I'm glad you're taking care of having them cut down. Mulch is fine for biodiversity.

Today we've noticed some 100 years old apricot trees that are dying or at end of life stage. The best one was wearing only one apricot.

Thank you for writing and sharing 🙏🏽.

Everything for the doggo is coming back as normal. She has a really upset tummy so they gave her fluids, and meds and we have been giving her boiled chicken with rice. It does seem to be resolving right now. Doctor said that if they don't find anything then it is just something she got into that caused a kind of gastritis. So right now that is all they can point to.

I'm sorry the apricot tree is dieing.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my post. I appreciate you!
