I cried too. Nothing wrong with that in and of itself. Means you are paying attention is all.

And totally unrelated to your own ‘needle story’ I had REALLY bad allergies as a kid. And I got prescribed allergy shots. If you’re unfamiliar they jam a bit of what you’re allergic to into your tricep, 3 days a week, for about 4 years. It’s extreme, but so was my allergic reaction to just about everything with chlorophyll. They work. Kind of like the first small pox inoculations worked. Your body just gets used to a small amount of a horrible thing, so that it can deal with it long term. A lifelong friend of mine developed the same debilitating allergies to all things blooming and green, that he started the ‘allergy shot’ therapy in his mid thirties, and they worked for him too.

Now that everything is in bloom again; I can feel a little itchy ache in my tricep from those shots. Like a reminder of how bad my allergies used to be, compared to how they are now.

As for the MMR vaccine; I do remember, because my freshman year of college was 2004, and they were required to enroll. Maybe not fully “required” per se, but some sort of extraordinary exemption would be required if you hadn’t had MMR inoculation. That’s not the reason I remember though. One of my good friends threw an absolute shit fit in 7th grade. He was like consumed with mortal terror over that hypodermic needle. Not sure if it was that particular hypo, or all needles, but dear g-d you have never seen such terror. An otherwise brave, fearless person, totally brought to pieces by the idea of the injection literally everyone else got in 7th grade. I vaguely recall him getting picked up from school, for unnamed reasons.

Years and years later, other friends were like WTF dude? You have dropped 30 foot cliffs on skis…. You jumped out of a perfectly good airplane (skydiving)… why did you puss out so hard over a needle?! We never got an answer. I still have no idea what his deal was.

Yeah allergies are among us now. Honestly I will happily deal with those instead of cold weather.

Truth is some people have a massive phobia about needles. It doesn’t matter what else they can do. It’s like having a phobia about flying insects. It doesn’t have to make sense.

THANK YOU.

I've had relapse and memory items too... post re-war in Gaza aka stress symptoms and sleepless nights, again. On top of 🤷🏽‍♀️

YOU have a very busy life and age most probably isn't a big issue. Stress is.

Be well soon 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Yes this has been a very stressful year personally on top of the war in Gaza. Never thought about the side effects to stress taking a toll on memory. Thanks.

They DO ! Cognitive impairment is a serious sign of overload, on top of the immunity reactions you describe. Seen what you've been through these last 10 years, please don't underestimate signs.

We should all be shedding tears for what happened on 10/7. I'm in my eighth decade. My first job was driving a truck for a man who was a survivor of the camps. I met some of his friends. I feel blessed to have known them. A Catholic goy was made to feel welcomed. Bless Israel.

You also got breast cancer during Covid? And my fingers also do not work. And I don’t remember to carry my phone because now I fall down so less than five seconds after Edwin remind me to always carry it everywhere I go, where is it? I can’t remember. You sound like possibly you have Long Covid? I hope not! But I could relate to your entire post. You’re not alone.

I got breast cancer in 2015. I was released by my oncologist right before COVID. Maybe you should get an apple watch instead of having to carry your phone. I had forgotten my phone when I left the house a few times and it make me anxious, so as an anniversary present I bought myself an apple watch. Now when I get dressed to leave the house i put it on and it doesnt matter if I forget my phone or not.

No. I got cancer in 2015. I had just been released by my oncologist when COVID hit. I meant I can't seem to remember, or maybe I just don't care, when it comes to health before COVID. It's like a gigantic memory hole. (Except for stuff about the boys. That I remember everything.)

I don't think I have long COVID. But it is weird. Right?
