Have you heard

“You taught me how to use a mouse, but I taught you how to use a spoon”?

I like that one. But, I had my younger son programming my cell phone when he was 2 years old, too.

Reminds me of a time when my youngest son, Liam told me I was "out of touch" and I wrote a little ditty of a poem (Still trying to figure out how to post poetry on substack too!):

TIME AND PLACE or The Art of Being Out of Touch (by Liam's Dad)

Once upon a time

There was a time for everything

For everything there was a place

That place and time

Have long since gone

It's passed its sell-by date

Now everything's in disarray

Even I feel out of place.

I think it all begins when you stop knowing the name of musicians and listening to the current music. It's simply downhill from there.

Thanks for telling a playful story about yourself and not about the current angst. Be well.

This is a very familiar story.

I had a similar ‘electric issue’ with a breaker thing for the A/C on the side of my house. The electrician rushed over as I insisted it was urgent. He discovered that I had literally not plugged in a chord completely. In less than 5 seconds problem was solved. The earth didn’t open below my feet and swallow me whole so, I chose not to be embarrassed, thanked him and carried on with my day. We can’t be fabulous at everything can we?!
