I wish you a speedy recovery! I am glad that you found something interesting to keep your mind occupied. Less time being frustrated about a body that has its own ideas on what your daily schedule will look like.
Boy howdy, do I ever understand the post-surgery fatigue. I had surgery around 2010, and the next day the nurse comes in and says, "ok, let's get up and take a walk!". I replied that she must be kidding. I managed to get out of bed, stand up, and take a couple of steps. 4 days later I was doing 10 laps around the surgical recovery floor.
But, In the real world it was a major deal to walk half a block. Then a block, etc. It took about 6 weeks to approach normal activity with any degree of stamina. I much prefer being outside, especially walking.
Speaking as a nurse, walking is one of the best forms of exercise, especially when you "pull" your tummy in. Treadmills aren't an exact match for walking because the surface is moving under the feet, so the "push" forward is largely lost.
I hate being restricted because of recovery. It’s so hard.
I hope you feel better and the time goes fast.
Do you like needlepoint?
I like things that feel productive when Im incapacitated. I feel like Im doing something. I bought a kit on Amazon. Might have been intended for children. But I finished it and it made me feel good.
I used to be the needlepoint maven. Then I took up crocheting, and knitting. Not sure, if needlepoint rightnow would make me less bored. I need to be active doing things. But as soon as I do, I am reminded why I can't just yet.
Refuah shleimah! Best wishes for a full healing!
Thanks so much 😊
Feel better. And you will, it takes time for your body to recalibrate and recover.
Thanks❤️

Thank you so much!
For some reason doctors seem to minimize the impact of a hysterectomy. I don’t know why.
Take it easy but take it.
Thanks. My doctor didn't seem to minimize the impact of my surgery. I just couldn't accept how much it would throw me. But boy was she right.
Healing hugs to you!!

I know I will get there. I just have no patience. The last time I wasn't allowed to exercise at least I came home with a baby.
Feel better!!!

Do you still have your needlepoint pillows?
Glad you are resting 🙂
