Often I have thought that a good portion of our leaders are either psychopaths or sociopaths. Not all, or even a majority, but wielding power does seem to attract that kind of person. The ability to manipulate a system so that they gain power and prestige, while acting dishonourably in their private lives.

Honestly, I would have hoped that the wealthiest and most powerful people in the world would have something else besides a pedophile to keep them amused
I have not read nor watched any of the Game of Thrones or spinoffs, but I'm sure it's very entertaining. I do, however, think that this Epstein scandal highlights the rot we have in the world, and where how the law only applies to some, but not the rich and powerful. This is a cause for shame for both political parties and the justice department who have sat on this information when each was in power. In addition to following the money, those that allowed the statutes lapse and anyone with the knowledge and power should, at a minimum be shamed! Their sons, daughters and extended families should know the the suffering and scarring they have caused to the victims either directly or by closing their eyes and ignoring their responsibility to investigate and prosecute! We can only hope and pray that somehow justice can be served, and those who suffered can heal and find comfort.

I also think about the grooming gang scandal in the UK. So many who have covered that up are still in power.
